Minnesota born + raised, Arizona based, and usually plotting where I’m headed next. I’m a photographer, frequent flyer, chronic people person, and a firm believer that life gets a whole lot better when you invite people into it.

I picked up a camera as a teenager while working at a nonprofit in northern Minnesota, with absolutely no idea it would turn into a career that has taken me across the country—and eventually, the world. Somewhere along the way, photographing people became a pretty great excuse to experience new places, hear a lot of stories, and make friends with people I probably never would’ve met otherwise. I still can’t believe I get to call that my job.

My work is a lot like the way I see life: colorful, a little imperfect, full of movement, and always centered around people. I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I’m far more interested in what happens when you forget about the camera—the wind messing up your hair, your best friend losing it on the dance floor, the look that lasts half a second, the laugh you couldn’t recreate if you tried.

Whether I’m photographing a wedding halfway across the world or portraits right down the road, I want to make something that looks like you, feels like you, and reminds you exactly what this season of your life felt like.

Good people, good stories, new places, and a camera in my hand—I really can’t imagine a better way to spend my life.
